Popular singer Sonu Nigam and his team members were allegedly attacked in Mumbai’s Chembur during a music event organised by a Shiv Sena leader on Monday.

A video of this incident has gone viral on social media in which a man, believed to be from Sonu Nigam’s team, being pushed down the stage during the music event.

After these dramatic events, Sonu Nigam has reached the Chembur police station to register a complaint.

As of now, the purported video is being verified, and police officials are speaking to Sonu Nigam and his team members to find out more details about the incident.

Sonu Nigam was in Chembur to attend an event organised by Shiv Sena leader Prakash Phaterpekar. When he was walking down the stage, some people rushed in to take selfies with the singer.

According to Prakash Phaterpekar, “Sonu Nigam was getting down from the stage when some people rushed to take a selfie with him. Bodyguards were trying to push those people away from Sonu Nigam. But by mistake, one person from Sonu Nigam’s team was also pushed. Nothing has happened to Singer Sonu Nigam.”

On the other hand, Sonu Nigam’s team has claimed that Shiv Sena leader Phaterpekar’s son misbehaved with the singer’s manager and asked them to leave the stage.

They said, “the MLA’s son first pushed Sonu Nigam’s bodyguard and then pushed Sonu. Son of Sonu Nigam’s maestro Rabbani Khan fell down from the stage and suffered many injuries and was immediately sent to a hospital in Chembur”.
