Padma Shri, India’s fourth highest civilian award for the year 2023 was presented on April 5th to all the recipients. President Droupadi Murmu conferred them with the awards at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.
Actor Raveena Tandon, Oscar-winning music composer MM Keeravani, Tabla maestro Zakir Hussain, and Singer Vani Jairam were awarded Padma Shri from the entertainment industry. Chinna Jeeyar Swamy from the Telugu States was honored with Padma Bhushan.
MM Keeravani was accompanied by his family, SS Rajamouli, Kaala Bhairava, Srivalli, and Rama Rajamouli. MM Keeravani is having a dream-like life for the past few months. It’s not been a month yet since he received the prestigious Oscars. Keeravani for the song Naatu Naatu has won Golden Globes as well along with other prestigious international recognitions.
