Hyderabad: Nandamuri Balakrishna, who recently entertained audiences with Daaku Maharaaj, is now charging ahead with the highly anticipated sequel, Akhanda 2 Tandavam. Directed by Boyapati Srinu, this pan-India film is being produced by Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner, with M. Tejaswini Nandamuri presenting the project.
Currently in the shooting phase, the makers are preparing to unveil Balakrishna’s first look from Akhanda 2 by the end of this month, coinciding with Maha Shivaratri. The film is being shot extensively in and around Hyderabad, with Balakrishna set to portray two distinct roles. Actresses Samyuktha Menon and Pragya Jaiswal play pivotal roles, while Thaman is composing the music. Akhanda 2 is slated for release on September 25, 2024, during the Dussehra festival.

Nandamuri Balakrishna, recently honored with the prestigious Padma Bhushan award, expressed gratitude, stating that the recognition is a pride not only for him and his family but also for the Telugu film industry. Various film associations and unions congratulated him at his residence and are planning a grand felicitation ceremony soon. Key figures from the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce, Producers’ Council, and Movie Artists Association will be part of the event.
