Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam is on the brink of unveiling several transformative projects that promise to enhance its urban infrastructure and boost its tourism appeal. These developments, ranging from state-of-the-art facilities to thrilling attractions, are set to become key highlights of the city in the coming months.
The much-anticipated multi-level car parking (MLCP) and commercial complex at Siripuram is nearing completion. Designed in a striking cruise-shaped structure, this facility aims to reduce traffic congestion while offering modern amenities such as air conditioning, diesel generator backup, firefighting systems, and scenic views of the sea. Spread across 1.65 lakh sq. ft., the Rs 87.5 crore project can accommodate 500 cars and 800 bikes. It is strategically located near prominent commercial hubs and is expected to become operational by early next year.

Kailasagiri, a popular hilltop destination, is set to introduce thrilling activities, including ziplining, skycycling, and India’s longest glass skywalk bridge. Trial runs for the ziplining and cycling attractions are in progress, and the bridge, spanning an impressive 50 meters, is expected to be completed within six months, adding an adventurous edge to the serene landscape.
The Haritha Hotel at Appu Ghar is also gearing up for its grand reopening. Situated opposite Lumbini Park, the hotel has undergone extensive renovations to provide improved hospitality. Sources suggest that the revamped facility will start welcoming guests very soon, catering to the growing demand for premium accommodations in the area.
Adding to the city’s cultural attractions, the UH-3H Saaras helicopter museum on RK Beach Road is progressing rapidly. With 80% of the work complete, this Rs 2.2 crore project is expected to open within weeks, offering visitors a glimpse into the legacy of the Indian Navy. The museum will be located near the iconic INS Kurusura Submarine Museum, further enriching the city’s historical and cultural offerings.
These projects highlight Visakhapatnam’s commitment to urban development and tourism, making the city a vibrant hub for innovation, adventure, and culture.
