Puri Jagannath and Mahesh Babu combination is one of the favorites for many in the Telugu States. Both the films that came in their combination, Pokiri and Businessman are memorable for Mahesh fans and the common audiences as well.
Mahesh and Puri never worked together after. Puri announced Jana Gana Mana with Mahesh but it never took off. During the recent promotions of Liger, Puri revealed that he had ideas for the sequels of Pokiri and Businessman for a long time.
“Back then Mahesh sir was busy and we never got the opportunity to discuss about the sequels,” Puri said. There are a lot of possibilities to explore Surya Bhai in Businessman. It can be turned into a franchise. Also, Puri revealed that he wanted to remake Businessman in Hindi.
It is a dialogue-based film and had a huge scope to do well in the north belt, he said.
