Nikhil’s Karthikeya 2 had multiple postponements. The film was announced for July 22nd. It had to make way for Naga Chaitanya’s Thank You. Then the movie had announced for August 5th release but had to make way again for Bimbisara and Sita Ramam. Finally, Karthikeya 2 was scheduled for August 12th release but it had to make way for Nithiin’s Machera Niyojakavargam as well. It had to postpone by a day.
Karthikeya 2 had to miss the Rakhi holiday advantage. Despite Saturday’s release, Karthikeya 2 had taken a flying start at the box office. The movie has received a positive response from critics and audiences alike.
It had opened well at the US box office as well. With Monday being Independence Day, Karthikeya 2 will utilize the extended weekend. The Sunday collections will be much higher than the day 1.
