Guna Sekhar who is known for handling periodic dramas has taken up a massive project Shaakuntalam. The movie has been in the making for a long time. Even though the shooting got completed last year, the post-production works have taken a long time. Samantha and Malayalam actor Dev Mohan have played the lead roles in the project.
Shaakuntalam is based on the internationally acclaimed Kalidasa’s Sanskrit play ‘Abhijnana Shakuntalam’. It is a Pan-Indian project that will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.
The team has finally announced the release date of the project. They have released a motion poster in which they gave a hint about the movie’s canvas. Shaakuntalam will be released on November 4th, 2022 worldwide.
Mani Sharma has provided music for the flick. Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj, Madhu Bala, Gautami, and others have played crucial roles.
