Veteran actress Asha Parekh is to be honored with Dada Saheb Phalke Award this year. She will be awarded for her outstanding contribution to the Film Industry.

Dada Saheb Phalke is the most prestigious, India’s highest film honor. Asha Parekh is the recipient of the Padma Sri by the Government of India in the year 1992 for her services in films.
Asha Parekh worked in numerous hit films in the Hindi Cinema. She has also worked with Gujarati, Punjabi, and Kannada films. She will receive the honor on September 30th.
