Hyderabad: To ease the financial burden on passengers, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has introduced a 10% discount on select Hyderabad-Bengaluru and Bengaluru-Hyderabad bus services.
High Weekend Traffic Drives Initiative
TGSRTC officials highlighted that the Hyderabad-Bengaluru route witnesses high passenger traffic on weekends. The discount aims to attract more travelers to TGSRTC services, making travel more affordable.
For instance, passengers using the Rajdhani AC service can now save Rs 100 to Rs 160 per ticket. VC Sajjanar, VC & MD of TGSRTC, stated, “This scheme encourages passengers to utilize our services for their benefit. We want to make travel more accessible.”
Mixed Reactions from Passengers
While some welcomed the discount, others compared TGSRTC’s pricing and facilities to private operators and KSRTC. Some passengers preferred KSRTC’s comfort and pickup points, while others pointed out better rest stops in private services.
