It is only a few minutes away from the commencement of the World Test Championship final. India and Australia have locked horns for the same. Rohit Sharma has won the toss and elected to field first. The pitch has a lovely covering of grass and there will be seam as well. It will be helpful for the bowlers upfront. So, Rohit has no qualms in choosing to bowl first.

Owing to the conditions, India fielded four pacers and a lone spinner in Ravindra Jadeja which means Ravichandran Ashwin is out of the attack. Rohit at the toss said that it’s very tough to leave out Ashwin.

Here is the playing XI of both sides.

India: Rohit Sharma, Shubhman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Srikar Bharat, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Mohammad Siraj.

Australia: David Warner, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Steven Smith, Travis Head, Cameron Green, Alex Carey, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon, Scott Boland.
