Australia continues to dominate India in the World Test Championship finals. After scoring massive first innings of 469, Australia managed to bundle out India for just 296 runs. Only Rahane, Jadeja, and Shardul Thakur have shown some commitment and applied themselves at the crease. Srikar Bharat fell on the second ball of the day but Rahane and Shardul stitched a crucial partnership.

But once, Rahane fell, everything fell apart. Batting in the third innings, Australia scored 123 for the loss of four wickets by the end of the third day’s play. Australia leads by 296 runs. So they are effectively 296/4. With the pitch entering day 4, it is not going to be easy for the Indians to chase down this massive target. Australia will like to at least add another 100 runs to the total.

On a pitch that has started to slightly misbehave, this is going to be an uphill task for the Indians.
