India looks to restrict Australia on Day 2

Australia batting first in overcast conditions did exceedingly well on the first day of the World Test Championship final. Australia dominated the day 1 by scoring 327 runs for the loss of three wickets. While Travis Head scored 146 on day 1, Steven Smith is unbeaten on 95. They both are well set and are looking to take Australia to a massive total.

On the other hand, India is looking to restrict Australia to a score that is around 400 or so. Anything more than that, India needs to pull up their sleeves and score massively in their first innings.

The one thing we need to remember is that India is going to play fourth innings in this test on day 4 or 5 which is going to help the spinners a lot. Having said that India has the arsenal to restrict the Australian batting but they need a little encouragement from the pitch as well. We have to wait and see how the pitch behaves on day 2.
