

20-year-old Spanish Tennis Plays Carlos Alcaraz has created history. He beat Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon finals that happened yesterday and clinched the title. Termed to be one of the greatest Wimbledon finals, Alcaraz beat 1-6 7-6 6-1 3-6 6-4. The way Alcaraz beat Djokovic from being one set down is one of the greatest moments in Wimbledon history. This is the first defeat for Djokovic since 2013 in the center court. Before this match, Djokovic won 34 matches at Wimbledon.
This is the 20-year-old Alcaraz’s second grand slam title. Alcaraz is the first player outside of the sport’s ‘big four’ of Djokovic, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Andy Murray to win the Wimbledon men’s singles title since 2002. Alcaraz turned emotional after winning the title and he termed the moment as incredible. “It’s a dream come true moment for me,” said Alcaraz.
