Rohit Sharma has been asked the question of opening with Virat Kohli in the upcoming T20 world cup. Rohit and Virat are the two pillars of Indian Cricket currently and the duo opening together is certainly an exciting idea. However, they have opened together only once, and ahead of the world cup, the speculations are on the top.
It is known that Virat Kohli opened with KL Rahul in the last super four league match against Afghanistan and Virat scored his first T20I century. Now, Rohit Sharma has responded to the opening aspect with Virat Kohli.
“I mean, it’s been on the back of our minds as we didn’t pick any third opener. Virat is our third opener. He opens for his franchise in IPL and has been a successful campaigner. Having said that we have our plans clear. As of now, KL Rahul will open with me in the world cup. He brings a lot to the table as well,” Rohit responded.
