Visakhapatnam: Cricket fever is set to grip Visakhapatnam as the Dr. YSR ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium gears up to host two IPL 2025 matches. The stadium will serve as the secondary home ground for Delhi Capitals (DC) for the second consecutive year, with matches scheduled against:
- Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on March 24 (Day-Night, 7:30 PM)
- Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on March 30 (Day Match, 3:30 PM)

Upgraded Infrastructure for a World-Class Experience
Kesineni Sivanath, President of the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA), emphasized that major renovations have been undertaken to ensure a top-tier experience for both players and fans. Enhancements include:
- Refreshed seating & VIP boxes (34 exclusive, 1 corporate box)
- Modernized player dressing rooms
- Upgraded LED floodlights for better visibility
- New stairways & high-capacity elevators (64-person capacity)
- Improved sanitation facilities
- Revamped stadium exterior
“By enhancing these amenities, we aim to attract more high-profile games and maximize the benefits of our investments,” Sivanath stated.
Security & Traffic Arrangements
City Police Commissioner Shankhabrata Bagchi assured the public that comprehensive traffic and parking management measures will be implemented during the matches.
