Kohli’s unbeaten knock anchored India’s chase of 241, reinforcing his reputation as a clutch performer. Captain Rohit Sharma, despite briefly leaving the field due to a fitness concern, assured fans he was “okay” after the game.
Rohit praised Kohli’s brilliance, saying, “Virat loves representing the country and doing what he does best. His innings today was no surprise to us.” Rohit also lauded the team’s all-round effort, crediting bowlers Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, and Ravindra Jadeja for setting up the win.
Pakistan, after opting to bat first, struggled against India’s disciplined attack. Captain Muhammad Rizwan admitted poor shot selection cost them, while spinner Abrar Ahmed acknowledged the pitch was easier to bat on in the second innings.
