Ahead of the third test in Indore that is all set to kickstart on March 1st, Team India captain Rohit Sharma spoke with the media and addressed the major issue regarding KL Rahul. Rohit Sharma stated that removing the vice-captaincy for KL Rahul indicates nothing. Rohit added that KL Rahul was handed vice-captaincy as he was one of the senior players in the team.
Rohit Sharma also talked about both Shubhman Gill and KL Rahul making it to the practice session and said that it was optional but shouldn’t be seen as Gill and Rahul thing. He said that the playing XI hasn’t been finalized yet and will only be updated on the match day.
Rohit hinted that if India wins the Indore test and goes 3-0 up, there might be a pace-friendly green pitch in Ahmedabad as a preparatory for the WTC final.
