All the major records were broken by Tamil Nadu and the team’s opener N Jagadeesan during the game against Arunachal Pradesh at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Tamil Nadu opener N Jagadeesan scored 277 of 141 balls, the highest List-A score across the world. The previous highest was 268 by Alistair Brown against Glamorgan in 2002 followed by Rohit Sharma’s 264 vs Sri Lanka.

Jagadeesan is the first player to score hundreds in five consecutive innings in men’s List A cricket. Tamil Nadu became the first team to score 500 runs in men’s List A cricket. Tamil Nadu scored 506/2 by the end of 50 overs. The previous highest was England’s 498/4 against the Netherlands earlier this year.

Jagadeesan and B Sai Sudharsan were part of the record-breaking 400-run partnership. Their partnership is worth 416 runs – the first pair to share a 400-run stand for any wicket in men’s List A Cricket. Tamil Nadu won by a margin of 435 runs after limiting Arunachal Pradesh to 71 – 435 is the biggest win in terms of runs in men’s List A cricket.
