He became the first Indian to win a Diamond League Event thus qualifying for the Diamond League finals that are going to happen in Zurich next month.
Neera Chopra coming back from the injury opened his account with an impressive 89.08 m which brought him the win eventually. Neeraj has managed three valid throws in the event after passing his third and fifth attempts. The Diamond League finals will happen on September 7 and 8. Despite winning the Diamond League, Neeraj Chopra stands fourth on the list. The top six will qualify for the event.
