It is known that India is going to play three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe starting this 18th. Shikhar Dhawan was originally named the captain of the squad and KL Rahul was included in the squad on subject to availability. The BCCI has confirmed that KL Rahul is fit and is right away included in the squad and this means he will lead the side. Shikhar Dhawan who was earlier named captain will be KL’s deputy.

After IPL, KL Rahul hasn’t played international cricket. The Zimbabwe tour will be his return. It is also known that he contracted the COVID virus days before the West Indies tour. KL Rahul underwent sports hernia surgery in Germany in June. He has recovered completely as BCCI medical team has closely monitored his status.
