Indian pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah who has been missing in the action for a long time has now undergone surgery in New Zealand. The news from New Zealand is that the surgery was successful and Bumrah is doing absolutely fine. As per the update, the surgery was done at the Forte Orthopaedics Hospital in Christchurch by Dr. Rowan Schouten.

It is known that Bumrah has been missing the action since September last year. He is now doing well and recovering fast. However, the hospital management hasn’t made any statement regarding this and stated that it will be best directed to the Board of Control for Cricket in India.

Dr. Schouten in the past has treated many sportspersons including James Pattinson, Jofra Archer, and Jason Behrendorff. It is said that Shane Bond, who is the bowling coach of Mumbai Indians has recommended Dr. Schouten’s name to BCCI.

Though the Board hasn’t made anything official, it is expected that the speedster will need at least six months to recover and be fully fit.
