Indian Premier League will kickstart in another nine days. According to the latest update, this season has undergone some interesting changes. One of the noted changes is the Impact Player rule. According to it, a team can choose a player outside the playing XI and use his services whether the team is batting or fielding.
For example, if a team is bowling, a bowler can be used in the powerplay and another bowler who is not from playing XI can be used as a death overs specialist.
As per this rule, the players need to name the playing XI and four other impact players and out of them only one can be used based on the conditions. The captains will have the flexibility to choose their impact player during the match.
