India is set to play three T20Is and three ODIs against New Zealand starting today. However, in the opening fixture, the first T20I washed away due to rain. It was scheduled to happen in Wellington but even the toss was not possible due to the extreme weather conditions.
Hardik Pandya is going to lead the side with the top 3 of the Indian batting setup has been rested. Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Virat Kohli have been given rest after the T20 world cup. This series might see the KulCha combination which was the go-to option for India a few years back. This series will also see Washington Sundar to be back in the reckoning after he missed the action due to his injury.
The second T20I will be played at Mount Maunganui on Sunday. The third T20I will be played at Napier. With India bagging the series 5-0 back in 2020, it is going to be an exciting series.
