India versus Bangladesh’s first test has turned interesting after Bangladesh fought back in the second innings. After setting a target of more than 500 runs, India thought of wrapping up Bangladesh’s second innings in quick time like they did in the first innings. However, Bangladesh had other plans.
The resilient opening stand set the tone for the chase. The openers stitched a partnership of 124 runs. Debutante Zakir Hasan was impressive in particular as he scored his maiden test hundred. Axar Patel took two wickets in the same over and induced an exciting finish.
However, Shakib and Mehidy stood tall in front of the wickets. On the whole, India could manage six wickets on the fourth day. While India wants four wickets to script victory, Bangladesh has an outside chance of winning by scoring 241 runs.
