IND vs AUS: Venue changed for the third test

The third test venue between India versus Australia in the four-match test series has been changed. Dharamshala was originally allocated to host the third test which happens between March 1st – March 5th. Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium (HPCA) has decided to renovate the stadium. The HPCA decided to relay the outfield and install a new drainage system.

The BCCI has now decided to move the venue. The board has confirmed that Indore which recently hosted an ODI match between India and New Zealand will be the venue for the third test. BCCI in its statement stated that the venue change is due to the harsh winter conditions in the region, the outfield lacks sufficient grass density and will need some time to develop fully.

The schedule for the series remains the same. India currently leads the series 1-0. The second test is scheduled to play in New Delhi starting February 17th.
