“I have not decided to give up the format”: Rohit Sharma on his T20 future

Rohit Sharma, Team India’s all-format captain has cleared the rumors regarding his T20 future. There have been speculations that the seniors Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul have been sidelined in the shortest format, and the team management has decided to move on with the younger players.

Rohit Sharma met the press ahead of the 3-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. He will be returning back in action after a month. It is known that he sustained a thumb injury while fielding and missed the remainder of the T20 series and the test series as well.

Putting all the speculations to rest, Rohit Sharma stated that he still has a future in the T20 format. “It is common to give rest to all format players and I am no exception either. We have three T20Is against New Zealand. We will see what happens after IPL. I have not decided to give up the format,” Rohit explained.
