Seniors from the T20 World Cup squad have been rested and Hardik Pandya was handed over the T20I captaincy for the New Zealand tour. The likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul were rested. Rishabh Pant who is not getting a game in the ongoing World Cup was named the Vice Captain for the T20 tour. Also, Dinesh Karthik, Mohammed Shami, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Axar Patel are the names that were missing from the squad as well. India will play three T20Is and three ODIs on the tour starting November 18th.
