Surat: With IPL 2025 around the corner, all ten teams have kicked off their practice sessions. The 2022 champions Gujarat Titans (GT) are currently training in Surat, with senior players Mohammed Siraj, Ishant Sharma, and Prasidh Krishna leading the bowling attack under the guidance of head coach Ashish Nehra. However, GT skipper Shubman Gill, fresh off India’s Champions Trophy 2025 victory, is yet to join the squad despite landing in Mumbai from Dubai.
Players Sweat It Out in Nets
The Titans’ practice session on Wednesday saw bowlers Siraj, Ishant, and Prasidh Krishna honing their pace, while young wicketkeeper-batsman Anuj Rawat focused on his power-hitting. With the team looking to build momentum ahead of their opening game, Nehra is keeping a close watch on the squad’s preparations.
Gujarat Titans’ IPL 2025 Campaign Begins on March 25
Gujarat Titans will begin their IPL 2025 journey with their first match against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on March 25 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, at 7:30 PM. Their second match will be against Mumbai Indians (MI) on March 29, also at home. Following this, GT will travel to Bengaluru to face Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on April 2 at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
On April 6, GT will clash with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad before returning home to play Rajasthan Royals (RR) on April 9. Their next away game will be against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 12 at the Ekana Cricket Stadium, with an early 3:30 PM start.
GT will then host Delhi Capitals (DC) on April 19 before traveling to Eden Gardens, Kolkata, for a match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on April 21. Another crucial fixture follows on April 28, when they take on Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur.
In May, GT will host Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 2 before heading to Mumbai for an away match against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede on May 6. The Titans will then face Delhi Capitals in Delhi on May 11, followed by a return home fixture against Lucknow Super Giants on May 14. Their final league-stage match is set for May 18, where they will battle Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, at 3:30 PM.
With Shubman Gill expected to join the squad soon, GT looks to build strong momentum in their quest for a second IPL title.
