Visakhapatnam: The Delhi Capitals are set to play their first two home games of the IPL 2025 season at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam, marking the venue as their alternative home ground. According to a Cricbuzz report, Vizag will once again host Delhi’s initial home matches, similar to IPL 2024.

While no official reason has been given, this move provides cricket fans in Andhra Pradesh with the opportunity to witness IPL action. Alongside Visakhapatnam, Dharamsala is expected to serve as an alternate home ground for Punjab Kings, while Guwahati will host matches for Rajasthan Royals.
In IPL 2024, Delhi Capitals had mixed results in Vizag, securing a 20-run victory against CSK but suffering a heavy 106-run defeat to KKR. With a 7-7 record, Delhi narrowly missed the playoffs on net run rate.
The franchise has yet to announce its captain for IPL 2025, with Axar Patel and KL Rahul emerging as likely candidates. The BCCI will release the IPL schedule today, with the tournament set to kick off on March 22 and conclude on May 25 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
