Dubai: Bangladesh staged a cautious recovery after a disastrous start against India in the Champions Trophy 2025 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. At the 30-over mark, Bangladesh reached 111/5, thanks to a steady partnership between Jaker Ali and Towhid Hridoy.
After losing five wickets for just 44 runs, Bangladesh’s innings stabilized as Jaker and Hridoy built a crucial 100-run stand. Jaker brought up his half-century in 35.3 overs (51 off 87 balls), while Hridoy followed suit shortly after, reaching his fifty in 36.3 overs.
India’s spin attack, led by Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav, kept the pressure on, ensuring the run rate stayed below four. Jadeja remained wicketless despite his tight spell, while Yadav’s variations troubled the batters.
With Bangladesh at 142/5 after 37 overs, their chances of crossing 200 depend on acceleration in the final 13 overs. Can India break this partnership, or will Bangladesh put up a fighting total?
