
Brazilian football legend Pele is no more. Called by the nickname The King, Pele won three world cups for his nation. He was aged 82. It is known that Pele has been battling cancer. He has been battling complications related to advanced cancer. He is being treated at a private hospital in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
In September 2021, he had a colon tumor removed. However, neither the family nor the doctors specified if the tumor spread to the other organs. Last week, the hospital authorities stated that Pele’s health has worsened. Finally, he succumbed to multiple organ failure.
In 1999, Pele was termed Athlete of the Century by the International Olympic Committee. Pele is the original Number 10. Jersey holder. The number which Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe are sporting now.
