The All-India Women’s Selection Committee has announced the squad for the T20 Asia Cup that is going to kickstart on October 1st. The event will be played from October 1st to October 15th in Sylhet, Bangladesh. Rodrigues who missed the ongoing England tour due to a wrist injury has been named in the squad. Richa Ghosh keeps her place as the frontline wicket-keeper in the squad.

Here’s the squad: Harmanpreet Kaur (Captain), Smriti Mandhana (vice-captain), Deepti Sharma, Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Sabbineni Meghana, Richa Ghosh (wicket-keeper), Sneh Rana, Dayalan Hemalatha, Meghna Singh, Renuka Thakur, Pooja Vastrakar, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Radha Yadav, K.P. Navgire.

Taniyaa Sapna Bhatia, Simran Dil Bahadur have been picked as the stand-by players.

India begins their Asia Cup campaign against Sri Lanka on October 1st. The other matches follow against Malaysia and UAE on October 3rd and 4th respectively. After a short break, the matches against Pakistan and Bangladesh will happen on the 7th and 8th. India will finish off the league matches on the 10th by playing against Thailand.
