Mumbai: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced the schedule for the much-awaited TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The 18th edition of the tournament will begin on March 22, 2025, and conclude with the final on May 25, 2025. A total of 74 matches will be played across 13 venues, featuring 12 double-headers. Afternoon games will start at 3:30 PM IST, while evening matches will begin at 7:30 PM IST.
The tournament will open with a thrilling clash between defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on March 22, 2025. The first double-header day on March 23 will feature Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) vs. Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the afternoon, followed by a blockbuster evening match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
The league stage will conclude on May 19, 2025, followed by the Playoffs, with Qualifier 1 and Eliminator in Hyderabad (May 20-21) and Qualifier 2 and Final in Kolkata (May 23 & 25).
