Bangladesh Wicket Keeper Nurul Hasan was accused of fake fielding by Virat Kohli which as per his view the Umpires have missed which could probably grant his team five penalty runs. The incident as per his saying happened in the 7th over of Bangladesh’s chase when Axar Patel is bowling and Litton Das and Shanto are in the crease.
The ball came to Arshdeep who was in the deep and Virat Kohli pretended that the throw is being relayed by him which it actually was not. Neither the umpires, Marais Erasmus and Chris Brown, spot it, nor did the two batters – Litton Das and Najmul Hossain Shanto who are out in the middle.
Nurul told reporters that if the Umpires have spotted it, their team would be awarded five penalty runs and the scenario would be completely different.
A few umpiring decisions have come under the spotlight in the clash between India and Bangladesh which the former team won by five runs.
