Aaron Finch has announced his retirement from the T20Is. With this, his cricketing journey with Cricket Australia which spanned a little over 12 years comes to an end. It is well known that Aaron Finch retired from the ODIs in September last year.

Finch represented Australia in 103 T20Is and out of those he lead the team in 76 T20Is. He is the current leading runscorer for Australia in the shortest format. He scored 3120 runs at an average of 34.28 and a strike rate of 142.5. His career-best score of 172 is also the best individual score in the format.

Aaron Finch also represented Australia in five test matches. He last played a test match in the year 2018 against India. In ODIs, Finch played 146 ODIs and scored 5406 runs with 17 100s and 30 50s. During his captaincy tenure in T20Is, Australia clinched their maiden T20I world cup title.
