Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy sought Microsoft Corporation’s collaboration to strengthen Hyderabad’s position as a global technology hub. Microsoft Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella, in response, pledged the company’s commitment to supporting the state’s initiatives.
Satya Nadella, in the city for the Hyderabad Public School centenary celebrations, met CM Revanth Reddy on December 30 alongside IT Minister D Sridhar Babu, Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, and IT Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan.

During the meeting, Revanth Reddy acknowledged Microsoft’s pivotal role in Hyderabad’s tech growth, noting its 10,000 strong workforce and the development of a 600 MW data center in the state. He outlined ambitious plans, including the Regional Ring Road, Future City, and a focus on skilling youth through the Young India Skills University. Discussions centered on advancements in AI, generative AI, and cloud technologies, with the state urging Microsoft’s continued partnership.
Satya Nadella commended Telangana’s infrastructure and workforce development efforts, underscoring their importance in making Hyderabad a global economic leader.
The meeting marks another milestone in Microsoft’s ongoing investment in Telangana, as the city gears up to cement its place among the world’s top technology hubs.
