Sudeep is a well-noted star across India. His latest action-adventure drama Vikrant Rona released Pan India wide and here’s how the movie is.

Story:
Some mysterious deaths happened in an ancient village Komarattu. To dig into the mysteries behind that Vikrant Rona (Sudeep) gets appointed as the inspector. He starts investigating and a few surprising truths pop out. Vikrant Rona starts suspecting and shocking all these mysterious deaths are connected to his life.

What happens next? Can Vikrant Rona uncover the complete mystery behind the ancient town?

Performances:
Sudeep is a natural performer. He did exceedingly well as Vikrant Rona. He has performed very well. His subtle acting made the film so special. Especially in the second half, Sudeep’s performance stands out. Jacqueline Fernandez’s Rakamma song is definitely one of the plus points. She is cute onscreen.

Nirup Bhandari has got a meaty role and he performed very well. Ravishankar Gowda brought a realistic nature to the movie with his performance. Neetha Ashok pulled her role quite effectively. Others are just fine.

Technicalities:
For Vikrant Rona, the BGM is the backbone and B Ajaneesh Loknath did a superb job. His songs are passable. The Cinematography for this movie is special. His lighting for the entire movie is too good.

Editing is fine but one gets a feeling that he can easily chop off at least 10 minutes. Anup Bhandari’s taking is effective. He has taken us to a new world but after a point, his narration lacks conviction. The screenplay is not as gripping as expected. Plenty of unwanted sequences were spread throughout the movie.

Analysis:
Vikrant Rona is a decent mysterious thriller. While the entire setup and the initial fifteen minutes look interesting, the other half of the first half bore us. There are a few action sequences that are completely unnecessary. At least 15 minutes can be chopped off.

Rating: 2.5/5
