Sundeep Kishan’s latest movie Michael which created good buzz got released today. The trailer looked good as well. The film was released today. Let us check out the review.

Story:

Michael (Sundeep Kishan) is a gangster raised in Bombay. After being raised, he was assigned a task to kill a man and his daughter. Did Michael complete the task? What happened later? forms the rest of the story.

Performances:

Sundeep Kishan is adequate in the movie. He has given it all for the movie. He did romantic sequences at ease and in action sequences he is superb.

Divyansha Kaushik looked good. However, she should’ve performed better. Gautham Menon looked miscast for an important role. A top actor could’ve made a huge difference. Surprisingly, stellar performers like Varalakshmi Sharat Kumar and Vijay Sethupathi got lesser important roles.

The others are just fine.

Technicalities:

The cinematography is one of the main assets of the movie. Be it the dark tone or the framing, everything looks wow in the movie. The editing could’ve been a lot better. The production values are superb. The background score is another added asset.

The writer cum director Ranjit Jeyakodi, however, disappoints. He picks up an interesting storyline but falters with the execution. He concentrated more on styling than the narration. In both Ihalves, there are serious complaints about the flow of the narration. The characterizations are pretty weak.

Analysis:

Sundeep Kishan pinned a lot of hope on this picture but sadly, it will not serve the goods for him. It might be a one-time watch if you like dark-toned gangster dramas.

Rating: 2.5/5
