Music Director: Bheems Ceciroleo

Priyadarshi and Kavya Kalyanram played the lead role in the movie Balagam which was directed by Venu Yeldandi (Venu Tillu). It was based on the Telangana nativity and let us check out the review.

Story:

Saailu (Priyadarshi), a youngster, who leads a simple life fails to succeed in every business he steps in. While he gears up to get married, a shock comes in the form of the death of his grandfather Komurayya (Sudhakar Reddy). Komurayya’s family members come together due to this and a petty argument turns into a major one while in talks.

How Saailu comes out of this? How do things pan out then? forms the rest of the story.

Performances:

Both Priyadarshi and Kavya Kalyanram lived in their respective characters. They both have got adequate roles that have a variety of emotions.

Director Venu and Racha Ravi will be seen in short roles and they are good. Muralidhar Goud, Roopa, and Jayaram’s performances stand out. The others are fine in their respective roles.

Technicalities:

Music is one of the main highlights of the movie and Bheems will surprise everyone. Be it the songs or the BGM, Bheems did justice completely. Acharya Venu’s cinematography is authentic. The production values are decent. Editing is fine to an extent.

Comedian turned-director, Venu will definitely surprise by his talent. Balagam is one of the most authentic films ever made with strong Telangana nativity. The story is simple and heartwarming. The emotions are natural. The soul is intact for most of the part. However, there are certain parts that are extended beyond patience. If those can be ignored then Balagam was a beautiful film to watch.

Analysis:

Overall, if you are from Telangana and love rural Telangana nativity then Balagam will be a very good watch. Otherwise too, the film doesn’t disappoint. Keeping aside the slightly slow narration complaint, Balagam is a decent watch this weekend.
