Vijayawada: Officials have submitted a report to CM Chandrababu Naidu regarding the collision of boats with the Prakasam Barrage. The report reveals a conspiracy angle behind the incident, confirming that the boats belonged to YSRCP leaders and workers.

The boats were identified as those of YSRCP MLC Thalasila Raghuram and former MP Nandigam Suresh’s associates. It was also noted that Nandigam Suresh frequently used boats owned by Ushadri for illegal sand mining. The boats involved in the collision were linked to Ushadri, Karri Narasimha Swamy, and Guduru Nagamalleswari.

The report suggests that a conspiracy was behind tying together three boats, as this is not typically done. Instead of iron chains, plastic ropes were used to anchor the boats, which raised suspicion.

On September 2, around 3 am, five boats collided with the barrage gates. While the damage could have been worse, police are analyzing the call data of the suspects.
