In a key development, the Central Bureau of Investigation has added Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy as the accused in ex-MP, his uncle YS Vivekananda Reddy’s murder case. Avinash Reddy is accused number 8 in the murder case and his father YS Bhaskar Reddy who is already been arrested in the case has been named accused number 7.

CBI opposed the bail petition of YS Bhaskar Reddy and has stated that the both son and father were part of the alleged conspiracy to kill Viveka with four assailants. They both have been accused of trying to destroy the evidence in the murder case by the probe agency.

YS Viveka, also an uncle of Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan, was murdered in the year 2019. It was first speculated as a heart attack but was later conspired to be a murder. In relation to this case, Avinash Reddy was granted anticipatory bail by Telangana High Court on May 31st but this was challenged by Viveka’s daughter YS Sunitha in Supreme Court.
