Amaravati: The YSR Congress Party (YCP) in Andhra Pradesh, once dominant with 151 MLAs, suffered a major setback in the latest elections, securing only 11 seats and losing its status as the main opposition in the Assembly.
Despite this, former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has shown no change in his approach, continuing with the belief that his decisions are correct. His disconnect from the public over the past five years is cited as a key reason for his defeat.
Even after the election results, supporters and party members struggled to meet Jagan. It was only with his direct permission that visitors were allowed to see him before he left Bengaluru. Jagan’s reluctance to engage with questions and his preference to dictate rather than listen have been consistent traits.
During his tenure, he distanced himself from the public, believing his policies were sufficient and ignoring the people’s concerns. This has led to significant trolling on social media, with netizens mocking his sudden visibility after the defeat and questioning his future prospects.
