Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has presented the Union budget for the year 2022-23. It is the fourth time that the Finance Minister has got the opportunity to present the budget and it is the second time that the budget has gone paperless under FM. It is the shortest budget speech by Nirmala Sitharaman. Here are some of the key points from the Union budget.

* Infrastructure status will be given to the Data center, energy storage system

* For the tap water connections to 3.8 crore households, Rs. 60,000 crore has been allocated in the budget.

* Transfer on the virtual digital asset to be taxed at 30%

* Using blockchain and other technologies, Digital Rupee to be issued by RBI

* Within 2022-23, to roll out 5G mobile services spectrum auction will be conducted.

* All the post offices in India will be connected to the core banking system

* On the capital goods, an import duty of 7.5% is to be levied.

* In the next 3 years, 400 new Vande Bharat trains will be manufactured.

* Digital DESH e-portal will be launched for the skilling of our Youth.
