The ruling party YSRCP had a huge setback yesterday with the MLA quota MLC elections. It was expected that YSRCP is going to clinch all the seven MLC seats with the fact that they had 153 MLAs strength. With TDP effectively having only 21, no one has expected it to win an MLC seat.

Unexpectedly, Panchumarthi Anuradha, a TDP candidate won the MLC with two of the YSRCP MLAs cross-voted in the elections. YSRCP was on a mission to find out the two MLAs and finally, it was zeroed in that Undavalli Sridevi and Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy were the culprits who voted for the TDP candidate.

While Sridevi denied the speculations and stated that she followed the code which was given on voting day, Chandrasekhar Reddy was in a hideout. Both the MLAs today skipped the assembly sessions which further proves the speculations. We have to wait and see how YSRCP will react to this.
