Telangana BJP chief, MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar has been arrested by the Telangana Police at midnight. He was arrested at his residence in Karimnagar ahead of PM Modi’s visit to Telangana. Reportedly, at midnight, a large team of Police reached Bandi Sanjay Kumar’s residence and took him into custody.
The atmosphere heated up at midnight as Sanjay Kumar’s supporters and party workers tried to avert the arrest. The visuals are out when Bandi Sanjay Kumar was dragged out of his house by Policeman and made to sit in the van. It is said that he was taken to Bommala Ramaram Police Station.
Telangana BJP leaders condemned the arrest and are planning to launch a state-wide protest.
It is known that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was scheduled to visit the state on April 8th to launch the Vande Bharat Express train from Secunderabad to Tirupathi along with other developmental works.
