Amaravati: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is set to hold its prestigious Mahanadu event in Kadapa this year, as per party chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. Following the event, the party plans to form central and state-level committees to strengthen its organizational structure.

During a Politburo meeting in Amaravati, key political strategies were discussed. Chandrababu Naidu emphasized restoring BC reservation quotas in local bodies, which were reduced under the previous YSRCP regime. Discussions also included potential district reorganization, addressing errors from the past administration.

Chandrababu Naidu criticized the former Jagan Mohan Reddy government for exhausting the FRBM limit, restricting the state’s borrowing capacity. Despite attracting Rs 6.5 lakh crore in investments over the past eight months, he expressed dissatisfaction with ministers and MLAs for failing to highlight these achievements to the public.

Additionally, Naidu announced the revival of welfare schemes like Annadata Sukhibhava and Talliki Vandanam. The government will contribute Rs 14,000 per farmer in three installments on top of the Rs 6,000 from the Center, ensuring a Rs 20,000 support package.

This will be the first Mahanadu after TDP’s massive 164-seat victory in the 2024 elections, making it a significant political event.
