Amaravati: Representatives from the World Bank and Asian Development Bank (ADB) have concluded their visit to Amaravati. The visit, which began on August 20, was aimed at exploring the possibility of providing loans for the development of the new capital city.

During their stay, the representatives held meetings with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, along with senior officials from the state government and the CRDA. The teams also conducted field visits to inspect ongoing construction projects in Amaravati. They discussed various issues, including the city’s master plan, infrastructure status, land development for farmers, court cases, flood management, and environmental concerns.
The representatives are expected to return in the third week of September for further discussions.
Meanwhile, the CRDA has already submitted a Detailed Project Report (DPR) worth Rs 15,000 crore to the central government, which will be reviewed on August 30. The final decision on the loan is expected to be made in October during the board meetings of the World Bank and ADB.
