Tirumala: In Tirupati, the vigilance inquiry into irregularities at Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) during the YSRCP government’s five-year term is nearing its final stages.

Over the past two months, officials have gathered details on transactions across various TTD departments. They have questioned officials about violations, expenditures, and other issues, including former Chairman Karunakara Reddy and Additional EO Dharma Reddy. Notices were also issued to former Chairman YV Subba Reddy and EO Jawahar Reddy.

Vigilance inquiry on TTD irregularities during YSRCP rule completes

The focus includes the allocation of around Rs 300 crores annually for engineering works, with concerns about irregularities in tender processes. Investigations are also looking into funds for Swims (Rs 77 crores), Govindarajaswamy Satrams (Rs 420 crores), and roadworks in Tirupati.

Additionally, the misuse of funds by the Sri Vani Trust and issues related to staff appointments at the Bird Hospital are under scrutiny. The Vigilance Department is preparing a final report for the government.
