Vijayawada: Vijayawada MP Kesineni Chinni (Sivanath) announced that the second cricket ground at Mulapadu Stadium will soon be accessible for players and enthusiasts. Following a visit to the Mulapadu grounds, he discussed plans to build a Center of Excellence at the site, stating that establishing cricket grounds across 175 constituencies remains a key objective.
Kesineni Chinni shared that efforts are underway to promote rural sports talent, with plans to launch the Andhra Pradesh League (APL) in an IPL-style format to bring exposure to rural cricket players. In addition, the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) will open a cricket academy at Mulapadu within the year, aimed at nurturing and advancing local cricket talent.
Kesineni Chinni expressed his enthusiasm over the development of two cricket stadiums in the capital region at Mangalagiri and Mulapadu, assuring that both stadiums would be fully operational within a year. He further hinted at the potential to establish a golf course in Mulapadu, should the conditions prove favorable.
Kesineni Chinni reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing top-notch facilities for cricket and other sports, giving rural athletes greater opportunities to succeed in Andhra Pradesh.
