New Delhi: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, announced on October 14 that the Centre has approved Rs 516 crore for the construction of a 14-kilometer, four-lane bypass road on National Highway 565, passing through Nalgonda town. The project aims to reduce traffic congestion on the Nakirekal-Nagarjunasagar route.

Nitin Gadkari highlighted the importance of NH 565 in connecting Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, with the highway starting from Nakirekal junction in Telangana and passing through Nalgonda, Macharla, Erragondapalem, and Kanigiri in Andhra Pradesh. The bypass will alleviate heavy traffic in the Nalgonda section and improve connectivity between Nakirekal and Nagarjunasagar, enhancing road safety and travel efficiency.

State Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy expressed his appreciation, noting that the long-awaited bypass will now address traffic issues and provide smoother travel. The project is expected to bring major relief to commuters and boost regional infrastructure development.
